Wow
what a start to the New Year. All is full steam ahead and all Clubs are
extremely busy.
URGENT REMINDER:
Thank you to all Clubs who have returned their Ducks 4 $ ticket butts. Could all Ducks 4 $
ticket butts please be returned to the Office for processing no
later than Wednesday 21st 2009. Ticket sales are very
popular this year; we have used all of our stock of tickets
so it would be appreciated if all unused tickets could be returned to
the Office so we can continue to sell. Please note that ALL
unsold tickets MUST
be returned before January 26th (Charity Act - Raffle
Tickets) A great day to be had by all, come along on Australia Day
and watch your duck race.

Reminder to Executive of Hunter Branch:
The next Executive Meeting will be held on Tuesday 20th January
2009 commencing at 6pm at the Branch Office.
LIFESAVING:
Attention
all Club Captains: Please don't forget
you only have 1 week after the end of the month to enter patrol hours
on Surfguard. It would be appreciated if you could start sending in
your YELLOW Patrol sheets to the Branch Office.
Attention
all Chief Instructors: Could all Blue
Proficiency Work Cards for Juniors and Seniors please be returned
to the Branch Office. Also all Junior and
Senior proficiencies and Junior Surf Education Awards should
now be entered onto Surfguard.
Clubs are
reminded that if they participate in any event outside
of Surf Lifesaving, Water safety, people power etc you must
lodge a Special Event Form to cover your members with Insurance.
LIFESAVINGÂ HINT:
With
the new IRB resources, Gratis Waterways licences are no long valid. All
IRB Crew and Drivers should have received their laminated license
through SLS NSW which should be carried at all times. If you have not
received your licence, members should contact their IRB Captains who
can make further inquiries on their behalf at the Branch Office.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:
Youth
Development Camp: Will be held on the
7th and 8th March 2009. 2 Under 14 and 2 Under 15 Rookie Members will
be asked to apply to attend.
Rookie
Challenge Day: This will be held on the 8th
March 2009 commencing at 9.30am. All Rookies are invited to the
challenge day which will be held in conjunction with the Youth
Development Camp. More information will be available soon.
SENIOR FIRST AID:
A
Senior First Aid Course is to be held on the 28th January 2009
commencing at 9am to be conducted at the Redhead SLSC please contact
