2008-2009 SEASON
The Hunter Branch staff would
like to wish all Clubs and their members a very Happy New Year. We are
looking forward to a very exciting and successful year ahead.
JUST
A QUICK REMINDER: Thank
you to all Clubs who have returned their Ducks 4 $ ticket butts. Could
all Ducks 4 $ ticket butts please be returned to the Office for
processing. Ticket sales are very popular this year, we have used all
of our stock of tickets so it would be appreciated if all unused
tickets could be returned to the Office so we can continue to sell.
Please note that All
unsold tickets MUST
be returned before January 26th (Charity Act
- Raffle Tickets)
A
Reminder to all Presidents and Executive: The next Branch Council Meeting will be held
on Tuesday 13th January 2009 commencing at 7pm at the Branch Office.
LIFESAVING:
Attention
all Club Captains: Please don't forget you only have 1
week after the end of the month to enter patrol hours on Surfguard. It
would be appreciated if you could start sending in your YELLOW Patrol
sheets to the Branch Office.
Attention
all Chief Instructors:
Could all Blue Proficiency Work Cards for Juniors and
Seniors please be returned to the Branch Office. Also all
proficiencies should now be entered onto Surfguard.
Clubs are reminded that if they participate in any
event outside of Surf Lifesaving, Water safety, people power etc
you must
lodge a Special Event Form to cover your members with Insurance.
WEEKLY HINT:
With the new IRB resources, Gratis/ Waterways licences are no long
valid. All IRB Crew and Drivers should have received their laminated
license through SLS NSW which should be carried at all times. If you
have not received your licence, members should contact their IRB Captains
who can make further inquiries on their behalf at the Branch Office.
JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT:
Junior
Lifesaver of the Year: Judging has taken place this week. We
should be very proud of our young people they are of a very high
standard. Congratulations to all.
Winners will be announced at the
Branch Championships.
Youth
Development Camp:
Will be held on the 7th and 8th March 2009. 2 Under 14 and 2 Under 15
Rookie Members will be asked to apply to attend.
Rookie
Challenge Day:
This will be held on the 8th March 2009 commencing at 9.30am. All
Rookies are invited to the challenge day which will be held in
conjunction with the Youth Development Camp. More information will be
available soon.
